Jeff Hoad was the first captain of the Giants franshise and lead the team for two years. In the second year he picked up their first league title when the team stormed off with the Superleague crown. Unfortunately he couldn’t rally the troops for the playoffs and the Giants failed to make the final four weekend. Hoady was a product of the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings, his home town team. He played a few years in North America before taking his trade to the UK playing in Ayr and London before arriving in Belfast.

On leaving the Giants Hoady joined rivals, London Knights for a season before heading to Germany to play for Bad Toelz EC.
