Giants fans have been delighted to hear the news of another signing to the team and the new signing goes by the name of Mel Angelstad.
Known for his legendary fighting skills, Angelstad is seen as one of the all time great minor league fighters in hockey history. He should add great depth to an already strong Giants team in the forward lines and will certainly look after the smaller players on the roster.

Tony Hand has been busy over the last few weeks in building the Giants squad with the signings of some new players and the return of some old faces.
Fan favourites Jason Bowen and Shane Johnson where quick to sign up for another season and where followed by the youngest player on the Giants roster last season Leigh Jamieson.
New players coming in are Curtis Huppe and Roman Gavalier as well as familiar names with the signings of ex-Panthers forward Marc Levers and Manchester Phoenix captain George Awada.

Giants fans will be delighted to hear that Rob Stewart is in talks and close to striking a deal that will see Jason Bowen return to the Odyssey after a year away. Jason Bowen who was in the Giants first season line up as well as the Championship winning team left last year for the Scottish Eagles when he wasn’t signed up by Dave Whistle. When the Eagles folded Jason went to Guildford Flames of the BNL but has turned down his option to sign on there for another year as he wants to return to play hockey in Belfast. MORE »

Rob Stewart today announced his first signing for next season and it was none other than fan favourite Paxton Schulte. The Giants new coach has been given his played budget for next season and wasted no time signing up Giants tough guy Paxton Schulte.
Paxton Schulte who has had three years at the Giants and is ranked number 1 in penalty minutes at the team with 549 and third in points with 127 in 170 competitive games played in all competitions.
Paxon had a superb season last year with 46 points in 57 compeitive games that won the Giants the playoff championship.
Expect more signings for the team in the very near future.

Rocket Rod Stevens will not be back at the Giants. He has decided he wants a new challenge now and will be off to find a new team but we wish him well. Rod Stevens is the Giants highest ever goal scorer in all competitions with 64 goals in 173 games and sits second all time in points scored with 131.

Giants superstar season MVP Robby Sandrock who finished 3rd in the league in points scoring despite being a defencman has decided he wont be joining the Giants again next season as he has signed a one year deal with the Iserlohn Roosters of the DEL.
Its the same team that Giants’ ex-coach Dave Whistle signed up for last week. Robby is the first Giant to announce that he wont be back next year as he follows Dave to Germany. MORE »

The Giants lifted the Playoff crown for 2003 with a superb win over the London Knights. The Knights just wouldn’t go away and kept up the pressure on the Giants the whole game long as the Giants kept taking the league only to see the knights bring it back each time keeping the fans very nervous and on the edge of their seats.
It wasn’t until 59:13 when Dave Matsos slotted in the empty net goal that the fans could really celebrate and celebrate they did singing and dancing and drinking into the night. MORE »

What a game this one was. It was all action from the start as both teams took the game to each other as both sets of crowds tried to out sing each other also. Each side looked a little nervous and not wanting to over commit on the chance they might let in a goal espically with the netminders where Joel Laing and Ryan Bach and no team was likely to score two against the goalies when they where in the form they where in today. Clubs playing out of nine cities have confirmed their participation in the inaugural season of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).
Teams from Basingstoke, Belfast, Cardiff, Coventry, Glasgow, London, Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield have all re-affirmed their commitment to commencing play in September of 2003. Groups from both Dublin and Milton Keynes have also committed to joining the league at the earliest opportunity. MORE »

It was the day Giants fans hoped they would never meet, the final home game of the season and Dave Whistle’s announcement to a capacity crowd at the Odyssey that at the end of the season he would be moving on for another Challenge.
