Giants Perfect Over the Weekend
Game Blogs 2008/09 | Monday 13 October 2008 by Richard BlayneyIt has been a busy weekend for me. Over here in Canada it is the thanksgiving weekend and so that has largely kept me away from the computer and locked into heavy Turkey eating. I cannot complain. It has also been a busy weekend for the Giants though as they played three games in four days. Two in the league and one in the challenge cup but they won them all. The final one had them going all the way to a shootout against Cardiff who they also beat on Thursday night but they took the victory and as well as the cup win against Sheffield at home on Saturday the Giants remain top of all leagues.
I’m not going to get madly into what happened in the games, firstly because I haven’t seen any of them and secondly because there are turkey left overs. I will also have to sit down now and update the rest of the site to go with the last three games. There was one incident worth noting and that was a goal last night by Paul Deniset who has now played in 14 games and scored in all 14 of them. I don’t have the facts and figures but I am lead to believe this is a club record and so will add it too the record section for individual goal scoring streak as well as a streak to start a season.
Below is a list of how each player got on over the weekend:
