Thanks to the third period we still have a chance
March 29th, 2008What is it with computers and technology failing you when you need it the most? I pay a high monthly fee for this dammed laptop and when I want to get a game report out all I want is for the bloody thing to work. Thankyou Toshiba and the internet - The game report that I spent about 30 minutes angerly putting together frooze up on me and I failed to get it online.
So without further ado I let you know that I wont be producing one. I have not go the time nor the patience to go through that again! That is probably a good thing however. I didn’t want to go too indepth about my true feelings last night when afterall it was only ‘half-time’ in the series and thanks to a good third period after two terrible periods the Giants have gave themselves some hope for tomorrow night.
I will touch on a few things that stood out for me however.
1. Carlyle Lewis was a horse. He hit everything and forced Payette to fight him because of the rough treatment he was handing out to Payette’s team-mates. Lewis lead by example and like in the Coventry top of the table clash a few months ago Lewis showed that it’s the big game that he relishes unlike many of his team-mates.
2. Defensivly we were a disaster and Lyle had a poor one. Things will need to improve drastically back there for us to get anything tomorrow night.
3. I talked before about the Giants folding two years ago against Newcastle, and even last year against Nottingham. At least on them occasions they made the final four. On this first two periods choke I worry about our chances tomorrow night. Again though the third gave me reason to believe and reason to bite my tongue when it came to serious critisism.
4. Pete Campbell continues to score goals. Two last night.
5. Newcastle refused to do the hand-shake last night and I thought that was great. Some fans didn’t like it but this is the playoffs and the playoffs are a battle and we’re only halfway through this one.
