Hutchins, Morin and Walton wanted back
May 6th, 2007Now that Ed is back in command he’s wasting no time about building his 2007-2008 team. Looking to get a core of players together he’s hoping to bring back Jeff Hutchins, JP Morin and Graeme Walton. Hutchins was good for 38 goals last season, a real offensive explosion hat the Giants could really do with again this coming season. Walton was the best British player on the team and it earned him a call-up to the senior British team for the World Championships. Morin was an offensive threat from the defence and brought an excellent passing game to the team.
According to Ireland’s Saturday night;
“When I get myself sorted out then Jeff Hutchins will be one of the first calls that I make,” said Courtenay.
“He should have been in the All-Star team and I think it was a joke that he wasn’t.”
Expect defenceman JP Morin to be high up Courtenay’s list too, unless someone comes up with a better offer in a higher quality league.
After impressing last season and making the Great Britain squad Graeme Walton will be back, but a replacement for his defensive partner Todd Kelman must be found.
It’s a start and it would be three good players to start building around. Theres also talk that Courtenay would like to bring back Jason Ruff again, something you will not find any fans complain about.
