Richard Blayney

rickyBorn and raised in Northern Ireland, Richard first Giants game was their second ever game in the Odyssey Arena in December 2000. He followed them throughout that first season and got a season ticket the following year that would last him through until the end of the 2007/08 season when he then up sticks and immigrated to Toronto. While he may not be a regular attendee at Giants games anymore he is still a devoted fan and follows the team online as best he can. His fondest Giants memories remain the 2003 Playoff Championship win when Paul Kruse passed the trophy into the crowd and he got to hoist it as well as the 2003 trip to Lugano, Switzerland when the Giants competed in the Continental Cup. He longs for the day when the Giants might once again be able to roll a third line of Paxton Schulte – David Matsos – Curtis Bowen.
